What's involved in this hypnosis malarkey, then?

 

Total mind control.  You will be in my power and I will have you barking like a chicken.  Joke!  

 

All hypnosis involves is an altered state of awareness - i.e. being very, very relaxed (does that sound like a bad thing to you?).  No swinging pocket watches, no staring deep into my eyes... I use my voice to gently and progressively relax you - as much as you want to allow yourself to relax.  Some clients love to conk out and go to sleep, some love to remain completely aware.

 

You are ALWAYS in control.

So how does hypnosis work?

When you're in a deeply relaxed 'trance' state you're way more receptive to making any changes you want to make.  

Hypnosis bypasses the filter that usually stops us from accepting helpful suggestions - and allows the subconscious brain to start to help us to reach our goals constructively, rather than getting in the way (as it usually does!).

 

When we're very deeply relaxed we're much more creative, we have way better perspective and we can come up with solutions we would never normally find.

Hypnotherapy sounds great, but I've heard it doesn't work for everyone?

I love that you've done some homework!  It's true that direct suggestion doesn't work for everyone (like stage hypnosis) - only for about 12% of people.  If I were to say to you "You'll wake up every morning and go for a 5 mile run" when you'd never run a step in your life, your subconscious brain would probably mark that one up as ridiculous as say "Ha, NO!".  So it wouldn't work.

However the way I work is all about getting your subconscious on board first - through careful questioning and coaching - and then making suggestions which allow your brain to come up with the right solutions for you.  For example, you might realise in our session that you want to download a 'Couch to 5k' app and then the hypnosis part would help your brain embed that as a flippin' good plan.

 

The next day you might find yourself suddenly scrolling through the app store... or even taking OTHER aligned actions that would work towards your goal, like walking instead of driving somewhere.  It's subtle, easy, effective - and totally in harmony with you and your pace.

 

I've worked with dozens of clients my 'success' rate for positive change is 100%.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Completely.  As long as you make sure you're in a safe environment, there's nothing that could happen to harm you.  You're completely in control of any changes you make - I just facilitate them.  And you could wake up or stop the session any time (but you won't want to!).

What does a typical hypnotherapy & coaching session involve?​

Sessions will vary depending on your exact needs (that's the beauty of a bespoke 1:1 programme!) - but here are some of thing things you can expect.

 

There will be lots of exploration of the situations & challenges you find yourself up against.  We'll work together to get clear on the mindset & strategic elements that are holding you back the most right now - and I'll help you to think differently about them, offer insights and help you come up with solutions.

 

We will also work together to reframe your current limiting beliefs and create brand new beliefs that really align and truly serve you on the deepest level.

We won't dig into traumas or make you discuss anything uncomfortable.  There's literally NO need to do that to create positive change.

 

Together we'll get the lightbulbs popping in your mind, build confidence and clear steps forward - and where it's appropriate, use hypnosis to strengthen & build on everything we've discovered.  

 

Sessions will feel expansive, positive - and you'll leave smiling and satisfied!

Is there work to do outside of the coaching sessions?

Yes.  To help you get the most out of this life-changing experience, you'll be given specific journaling tasks to complete.  We'll make sure you have plenty of time to complete them between sessions, even if that means spreading the programme out for you a little.  

 

They're hugely important to helping you explore and develop your mindset - and my clients LOVE completing them because it's fascinating to learn about yourself!

 

You'll also have tailored hypnosis audios to use daily (usually at bedtime) to facilitate your transformation.

How is hypnosis different from other mindset coaching I may have had?​

The world of entrepreneurship is littered with people who declare themselves 'mindset experts' and coaches who talk about mindset all the time.

 

Some are very well qualified and trained to do so - others less so!

 

Typically, coaches will work on shifting your perspective and reframing your beliefs around certain situations (like how you feel about receiving money in exchange for your services, for example).  It works really well a lot of the time and it's part of the work we'll do, too. 

 

​However what we will ALSO do is tackle the issues you aren't so aware of and the deep-rooted subconscious 'rules', patterns and blocks that hold you back without you even realising.  So - going back to our money example - you might struggle to receive money not because you believe it's bad or evil - but because deep down there are big self-worth and self-esteem issues at play.

 

The wonderful thing is, that by using hypnosis we can reduce anxiety and build confidence in all areas of life simultaneously - so we won't need to dig into why you have low self-worth.  We'll just build it up by rewriting your subconscious 'programming' - and suddenly you'll just find your confidence has skyrocketed and wonder where it came from!

So - I won't need to keep working on my mindset after hypnotherapy with you?

You won't need to - not in the sense of 'work' anyway.  So you won't have to do endless hours of soul-searching, journaling, confidence building exercises, money mindset courses... and you won't need to use techniques like EFT tapping to manage how you feel about yourself or different situations.

 

Of course you can if you want to - but it won't be necessary.  Our work together will leave you with such a deep understanding and mastery of your mind that you'll have a much greater awareness of how to make shifts 'on the go' when they're needed (and you'll keep noticing shifts, realisations and up-leveling thanks to the changes we've made - long after these 8 weeks are over!).

 

Just think about all that spare time and energy you'll have to work on your wonderful business or just enjoy life as a result!
